The Kryshtal Vodka Amalgamation in Minsk
Belarus has developed a patented technology, which purifies the water before
being used in distillation, helping to make the smoothest of spirits. |
Marketed
in rectangular, frosted bottles, in the USA the packaging has the word “Gin”
emphasized in big colored letters against the simple bottle background design. |

On the nose is faint juniper and citrus, which is
echoed on the palate. The Gin is viscous and smooth and more like Vodka (given
the faint sense of botanicals) and this is not surprising, as the company is
better known for producing Vodka. This light Gin, like Bafferts Gin, is a good option for people seeking to broaden their palate and experimenting with Gin for the first time. It is hard to recommend mixed drinks for this one because it is masked by the addition of almost anything – think Vodka Martini and you’re on the beginning tracks of what you could experiment with – at 90 proof we’re not sure how much experimenting you’ll manage! We would love to know more about this company, it’s Gin, and availability of it in the USA. |
