It is best to have a full length mirror (in your hallway and/or your bedroom/bathroom) for this last minute 22 point check (as it's usually the small things which can spoil a first impression): |
1. Have you removed the sleep from your eyes? 2. Shaved (removed any tissue/alum from any nicks)? 3. Cleaned your teeth? 4. Have you put deodorant on (and fragrance)? 5. Is your hair dry and tidy (including nostrils)? |
6. Do they compliment you? 7. Compliment each other? 8. Distinguish you (Tip: putting on a jacket is always a safe bet)? 9. Do any of your clothes or accessories outshine you? Try this: Squint in the mirror – as this process reduces the light - now, do you or your clothes shine out? 10. Are they ironed/pressed (if appropriate)? 11. Are all labels tucked in and collars laid down (with collar stays/stifferners in)? 12. Have you brushed to remove all loose hairs, lint etc.? |
13. Are they suitable
for the weather conditions (or do you have suitable protection for them e.g. another pair to change into, rubber covers etc.)? 14. Do they suit your clothes (and match your belt)? 15. Are they clean? 16. Laced up (if appropriate)? |
17. Do you have your wallet? 18. Keys? 19. Phone? 20. Handkerchief(s)? 21. Every Day Carry (EDC) Bag? 22. Pass Card(s), tickets and/or directions? |
