Are There Any Left?

Think of all the famous adventurers, whose lives you might know something about, here we list some of the most famous with regard to American History: Christopher Columbus; The Pilgrim Fathers; Lewis and Clark etc. Why did they do what they did? What motivated them? In the case of Sir Edmund Hilary (of Mount Everest fame) when asked “why”? He replied, “Because it’s there”! That was all the motivation he needed.

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. -  Jawaharal Nehru.

Looking back at these previous explorers you might be excused for thinking there is nothing left to explore. Perhaps the only adventures left are: outer space, under the oceans, or in microbiology and information technology? So, there are things left to explore but you might not have a yearning, or the budget, to explore these things. If you’re busy looking for a world’s first, to advance mankind and gain immortality – this isn’t necessarily what adventure is all about.

The key to any adventure, is it should be an adventure for you; something new to you. Even traversing the same trail every day will bring changes due to weather, the seasons, other creatures using or crossing this path etc. So go and find your next adventure, and don’t worry, if its already been covered by someone else – you may find something they didn’t.
